Suboxone treatment

Suboxone treatment is a treatment for opiate dependence. Suboxone is the very first drug (narcotic) that has become available under the Drug Abuse Treatment Act (DATA) of 2000 for the treatment of opiate dependence. It is the only narcotic drug that can be prescribed by a doctor in 2 and 8mg tabs for suboxone treatment.

Treatments like methadone are available in some clinics for the use of opiate dependence. Suboxone is made up of buprenorphine with naloxone. The main reason for adding naloxone to the buprenorphine is to stop intravenous missus and to help out with the symptoms of opiate dependence.

This type of suboxone treatment is for adults over the age of sixteen.if under this age they have to give their consent by a parent or guardian to be treated for their addiction. After the person is detoxified then Suboxone is used for treatment.

Many drug addicted people prefer Suboxone over methadone. Suboxone is less likely to be abused and causes less problems in case of an overdose. After the drug addicted person completes their treatment program Suboxone is often prescribed for the drug addicted person to take home with them.

A doctor must have approval from the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) before they can start any suboxone detox or write any prescriptions for Suboxone. To help people who are addicted to drugs an updated database is kept in the Center for Substance Abuse

A person can easily locate doctors for treatment with (CSAT) so drug addicts can Suboxone comes in pill form and is placed under the tongue for absorption. It comes in 2 and 8 mg tablets. Most drug addicts do the best when given between 8 and 16 mgs. This helps limit anxiety and help lower the cravings for opiate. The drug dosage is different for each drug addicted person.
